We are seeking an experienced Medical Administrator to join our team at a prestigious private hospital in Brisbane. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support to the medical staff, ensuring seamless communication and efficient daily operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the medical team, including managing confidential documents and ensuring accurate data entry.
- Exercise professional judgment to resolve issues and liaise with clinical staff in accordance with departmental policies.
- Oversee patient billing processes and facilitate financial consent.
- Review and optimize practice workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
- Cultivate a welcoming and supportive environment for both staff and patients.
- Implement process improvements aimed at elevating the quality of patient care.
- Manage debtor follow-ups and reconciliations effectively.
- Provide essential administrative support to clinical staff.
- In-depth knowledge of private health funds, DVA, private billing, and Medicare claims.
- Prior experience in hospital, medical centers, or day surgery settings is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to provide medical administration support.
- Experience using Patient Administration Systems within healthcare environments.
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to engage with patients empathetically.
- Familiarity with healthcare legislative requirements (preferred).
- Flexible, positive, and outcome-focused mindset.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
