Principal Environmental Consultant Role

This is a highly experienced position for a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead our internationally recognised Environmental Impact Assessment team.

We are looking for an articulate, motivated and detail-oriented individual with circa 15 years' experience in consulting, government or industry.

As a technical leader in our national EIA team, you will provide strategic guidance on best practice EIA and management principles to clients and internal team members.

Key responsibilities include leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across various sectors, developing business strategies and plans, and building effective relationships with clients and team members.

You will also conduct thorough technical reviews, mentor and develop junior staff, deliver clear and precise reports, and occasionally travel for field assessments and site familiarisation walk-overs.

Along with a great attitude and ability to contribute to the team, we are looking for:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in environmental impact assessment and primary approvals
  • Strong experience in major linear infrastructure projects is essential
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state and Commonwealth environmental legislation and policies, standards and guidelines
