Heavy Diesel Mechanic Position

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of vehicles, which includes Volvos, Isuzu, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, and Hino trucks.
You will work on various light fleet vehicles, as well as minor ancillary plant, utilizing complex electronic, mechanical, air, and hydraulic systems.
**Job Description**
In this role, you will perform all aspects of repairs and maintenance, ensuring a high standard of safe work practices in accordance with our Service Level Agreement.
Field visits may be required to address breakdowns or service needs.
You will work closely with our team to maintain our fleet assets, using your skills and knowledge to ensure their reliability and efficiency.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- A Trade Certificate in Heavy Duty Mechanics, Plant Mechanics, or a relevant trade certificate
- Post-trade experience and knowledge in the service maintenance and repair of heavy-duty plant and equipment
- A current HR Class Drivers Licence
- Forklift licence or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team
- A positive and proven safe work culture, working knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to Work, Health and Safety principles and practices
- Experience and skills in the basic use of computers, sufficient to use our electronic works and assets system
