About the role:


In this challenging and fulfilling role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our cement manufacturing plant.



Main Responsibilities:


  • Participate in SHE activities, including communication sessions, tool box talks, and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor plant performance, analyse lead and lag indicators, and provide feedback through daily reports to optimise plant health.
  • Be accountable for responding to daily plant requirements and follow up on shift handover feedback to provide solutions and mitigation actions.
  • Play an active role in maintenance execution, develop quality technical scopes of work, and provide clear directives during breakdowns.
  • Manage breakdowns from start to finish, including recovery plan development and commissioning.
  • Provide detailed reports of plant breakdowns or issues and outline next steps for repair or rectification.
  • Review work orders, provide clear direction to planners on necessary work orders, and manage and update mechanical asset life plans.
  • Provide engineering support to capital projects, identify and manage plant mechanical risks, and ensure achievement of reliability and availability targets.
  • Develop and manage processes to identify end-of-life assets, develop and review mechanical maintenance methods, and maintain effective report and investigation storage methods.
  • Assess and utilise condition monitoring principles to highlight failing equipment.


About You:


  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of asset management experience in cement manufacturing or heavy industry
  • 5+ years of maintenance management experience in cement manufacturing or heavy industry
  • Sound mechanical background, proven experience in responding to breakdowns
  • Understanding of leadership and decision-making
  • Sound people and communication skills
  • Effective report writing and presentation techniques
  • Familiarity with MS Office and proficiency in SAP
  • Ability to perform plant trouble shooting
