GIS Data Support

The Enterprise GIS Unit manages the Geographic Information System (GIS) platform for location analytics and is the source of truth for spatial data. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining corporate spatial data and national datasets while adhering to high standards of data governance and control practices.

This position requires a technical expert with strong skills in GIS software, including Safe FME and ESRI ArcGIS. The individual will work independently, reporting into the Senior Manager in the Enterprise GIS unit.

Maintaining quality procedures for spatial data administration and providing spatial datasets that are fit for use in effective and high-quality GIS services, including analysis, mapping, dashboards, and compliance reporting, are key responsibilities. Other tasks include developing and maintaining metadata, working with the team to assure data quality standards, analysing and troubleshooting spatial data, and supporting GIS Controller with data support activities.

Key skills and qualifications required include understanding of data standards and data governance, high level computer literacy, problem solving, and programming skills. High attention to detail, analytical, and organisational skills are also necessary. Demonstrated ability to coordinate tasks, set priorities, and work to deadlines is essential.
