We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our client's Melbourne team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing strong business relationships across the VIC region within the International Freight channels.
The ideal candidate will have a hunter mentality, enjoy a challenge, and be part of something big. You will have full control of your accounts and be responsible for:
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities in Sea Freight and Air Freight logistics.
- Building and developing new and existing business relationships to grow your pipeline and achieve/exceed sales targets.
- Leading and developing Business Plans across all accounts.
- Collaborating with internal departments to ensure accounts are managed appropriately.
- Developing and maintaining a pipeline of prospects that matches the company's strategies.
- Completing sales reports and other administration tasks where required.
We are looking for a candidate with 5 years plus experience in Key Accounts or Business Development within the Transport industry. You should be an analytical problem solver who brings value-add solutions to your customers. Strong stakeholder engagement and customer relationship skills are essential, as well as exceptional negotiating skills and an excellent communicator.
