Practice Nurse/Triage Nurse Position Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RN to join our dynamic team as a Practice Nurse/Triage Nurse in Cairns, Queensland.

About the Role
  • As a Practice Nurse/Triage Nurse, you will be responsible for identifying and triaging suitable patients, providing front-line care, and working closely with our General Practitioners.
  • You will conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, deliver high-quality patient care, and take decisive actions for patients requiring emergency attention or experiencing health deterioration.
  • Additionally, you will offer healthcare-related education to patients as needed and complete all documentation accurately and promptly.
Requirements
  • A clinical background in General Practice and/or Triage is essential.
  • You must have strong critical thinking skills, be able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, and provide compassion, empathy, and understanding to patients and their families.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills are also required, as well as flexibility to work across all shifts and days.
  • Current ALS/CPR AHPRA Registration is mandatory.
After Hours Requirements

Up to 10pm, weekends, and Public Holidays.

Salary Information

$45 - $55 per hour.
