We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to the execution of the Commercial Portfolio Strategy, applying product, pricing, customer retention, and acquisition strategies to deliver targeted insurance trading results.
The role requires collaboration with Distribution colleagues to grow and develop key intermediary relationships, deliver exceptional customer service, and facilitate multiline opportunities. Key responsibilities include adhering to delegated underwriting authority, ensuring quotes comply with underwriting acceptance criteria, identifying potential problematic risk-specific exposures, and communicating effectively with brokers and customers.
- Minimum 2 years of product underwriting experience (5 years' experience for the Senior role)
- Demonstrated ability to influence in the commercial Broker and Adviser insurance market to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
- Understanding of relevant Insurance products, industry, market environment, reinsurance structures, and customer segments
- Ability to underwrite at an advanced level in accordance with Risk Appetite, Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA), Underwriting Guidelines, and Business License
