Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kindergarten Infrastructure Project Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the demand and supply of kindergarten infrastructure across the City, ensuring timely provision of services to families.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the Kindergarten Infrastructure and Service Plan (KISP) is current and up-to-date;
  • Assessing enrolments, kinder supply, and population data across the City to inform Council's capacity to support early years reform programs;
  • Representing Council at meetings and forums, and supporting project control and working groups on kindergarten projects;
  • Consulting with stakeholders to ensure kindergarten projects meet Council objectives and requirements;
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with community groups, early years services, and government agencies;
  • Reviewing existing infrastructure absorption and requirements for potential expansion to address projected demand.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in a Social Science, Social Planning, Project Management, Early Childhood, or related discipline;
  • Substantial relevant experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing policy, strategies, and research relevant to young children and families.
