Key Skills: Painting, Decorating and/or Plastering

Our team is looking for a skilled Painter to join our dynamic engineering team on the breathtaking Hayman Island. As one of our island's Painters, you will assist with general painting, wallpapering, repairs to attractive finishes, and maintenance in the hotel.

Some of your key responsibilities include performing painting, plastering, minor carpentry, plumbing, and equipment repairs; assisting with wall and surface preparation and basic bathroom maintenance.

• Perform routine painting tasks including selecting paint colours, preparing surfaces, and applying paints.
• Assist with major painting projects such as exterior and interior painting, and decorating.
• Conduct safety inspections and report any hazards or unsafe practices.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Formal qualification in Painting, Decorating and/or Plastering.
• Fitness – You will be on your feet most of the day with lots of bending and kneeling.
• QLD White Card and Drivers Licence.
• Strength – You will need to lift, push, and pull big objects like luggage, bags, and parcels up to 50lbs (23 kg).
• Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
