About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Specialist II to join our team at Daifuku North America. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and compliance with relevant regulations.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead the implementation and oversight of all company safety programs, including process and operational safety, OSHA compliance, and ongoing regulatory requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain a comprehensive safety program that ensures compliance with company, state, and federal OSHA requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and unsafe work conditions.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Analyze data from safety audits to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with site management to build a safety culture and promote employee engagement in safety initiatives.
  • Investigate incidents and develop recommendations for prevention.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure continued compliance.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or related field, or at least 5 years of experience in General Industry or Construction Field.
  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining safety programs.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
