As a key member of our Petstock Group, you will be part of a dynamic team where passion for pets drives growth and success. Our retail market leadership in the pet care industry spans over 20 years.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our fun and inclusive grooming team. Your day will be filled with:

  • Providing full grooming services to a range of breeds, including bathing, drying, nail clipping, brushing, and generic and breed clipping.
  • Ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all customers and their dogs.
  • Coordinating the grooming salon and clients in conjunction with the Store Manager.
  • Booking client appointments and assisting the store shop floor team when required.
  • Managing stock levels and working with the Store Manager and team to achieve sales targets.
  • Safeguarding a strong safety culture within the salon and store.
  • Supporting local marketing opportunities and recruitment referral programs.
  • Collaborating with the team to exceed sales targets.

Requirements:

  • Experience in professional dog grooming.
  • Qualification in Grooming, preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to create and embed strong safety practices across the salon and store.
  • Good knowledge of specific breed clips.
  • Physical fitness, as you may be required to lift heavy animals.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling and working with live animals.
  • Ability to maintain breed clip and brand/product knowledge.
  • Advanced understanding of zoonotic and skin diseases and how to identify them.
  • Flexibility to meet changing work conditions.
  • Prioritization and management of conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Commitment to representing Petstock's interests in areas related to the business, branding, and animal care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working and customer relationships.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
