Job Overview
">We are seeking a highly skilled Assurance, Risk and Compliance professional to join our team as Manager of Assurance, Risk and Compliance. The successful applicant will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our business operations by overseeing key processes and implementing effective risk management strategies.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Coordinate the biannual Finance attestation process, collating, reviewing and reporting on responses to management teams.
- Provide support to General Managers in developing, training and communicating Group policies and procedures.
- Identify and recommend solutions to improve the risk and control environment, addressing identified control deficiencies and managing risks within appetite.
- Monitor internal audit programs tailored to organisational needs and provide insightful guidance to GMs.
- Design, oversee and implement compliance management systems and associated policies and procedures, capturing breach data to track trends and inform further analysis.
- Determine content of compliance training, facilitating provision for the business.
- Establish and regularly review compliance management documentation to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Ensure timely escalation of compliance risks and breaches to inform business decision-making.
- Manage the annual insurance renewal process, including remediation of risk engineering recommendations.
- Monitor compliance performance of business units and prepare regular reports for Audit Finance and Risk Committees and the Board on material compliance risks and breaches.
Requirements:
">- A strong educational background in a relevant field such as Commerce, Law or Business, complemented by extensive experience in assurance, risk and compliance roles (5+ years).
- Proven stakeholder engagement and Board reporting experience.
- Knowledge of SAP, Power BI and Process Mining tools is highly valued.
- Practical experience in implementing and administering corporate or enterprise Risk, Compliance and Assurance management programs is essential.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior managers and stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications:
">- CPA/CA qualification, Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline (Commerce, Law or Business).
