About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tool Store Operator to join our team at BAE Systems Australia. As a Tool Store Operator, you will be responsible for the delivery of all services that sit within the operator trade role, including high-risk license tasks, providing services across the shipyard to successfully deliver the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tool Control and Tracking: Controlling and tracking the allocation of tools, equipment, and consumables from the tool store.
  • Inventory Management: Overseeing stock levels of tooling and equipment and reporting needs as required.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring that all equipment and areas used by the team are maintained in a safe and organized manner.
  • Production Support: Daily interaction with the production team.
  • Safety and Quality: Responsible for your own safety and the safety of fellow workers, and involved in the team's safety and quality requirements and working to meet or exceed results.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current forklift high-risk license and a current driver's license.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • The ability to interact effectively within and outside the immediate team to implement business requirements.
  • Construction industry white card or the ability to obtain.
  • Support shift work as required.
Clearances

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
