Diesel Fitter Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Diesel Fitter at Middlemount, where you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a fleet of CAT 794 Electric Trucks. You will also provide outstanding customer service by keeping valued customers informed about job progress and costs.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and warranty work on a fleet of CAT 794 Electric Trucks;">
  3. Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that customers are kept well-informed about job progress and costs;">
  4. Determine the reusability of all disassembled parts and ensure that repairs are carried out using the appropriate control guidelines to prevent rework;">
  5. Submit accurate service reports, timecards, parts request sheets, and parts quotes;">
  6. Support the sale of genuine parts and provide guidance and advice on appropriate repairs when requested.">

About You:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual with relevant trade qualifications and experience working on earthmoving equipment. You should have a strong background in diesel mechanics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
