As the Clinical Nurse - Recovery / PACU, your responsibilities will include:

- Liaising with the Perioperative Services Manager, staff, and VMO anaesthetist to support patient care
- Adhering to legislative requirements, ACORN, and sterilization standards
- Providing knowledge and expertise in accreditation processes and Quality/Risk management
With 120 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds, a rehabilitation gym, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, a day oncology unit, and an ICU, Sunnybank Private Hospital has been providing care to our local community for over 40 years. We focus on delivering holistic patient care and striving for excellence.
Our Commitment
We are committed to quality and safety for our patients, staff, and visitors. We require applicants to provide a current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable), and Evidence of right to work in Australia prior to appointment. Staff in patient contact roles must provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
Key Requirements:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Previous experience in a CN/Recovery/PACU role or practicing as an anaesthetic nurse for more than 3-4 years in a team leader position
- Completed relevant postgraduate qualification or commitment to commence within 12 months of appointment
- Commitment to quality patient care and compliance with NSQHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Experience in similar positions (desired)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organised and strong ability to prioritise tasks
