About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Shutdowns Leader to join our team at Rio Tinto, responsible for managing the end-to-end fixed plant shutdown cycle and delivery of shutdowns safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a performance-based culture that drives exemplary safety behaviors and stable operating outcomes.
- Manage the scheduling and execution of Fixed Plant Shutdowns across all our Pilbara Mine Sites.
- Deploy and develop Fixed Plant Shutdown Maintenance teams and individuals.
- Ensure shut down management processes are applied in the context of the asset management strategy.
- Assess and manage risks over asset lifecycle, reviewing and auditing compliance.
Requirements

- As a genuine and authentic leader, you will bring your demonstrated care and engaging leadership style.
- Integral to this role will be your ability to lead by example, build a strong connection with your team and your various stakeholders.
- Your extensive Shutdown execution and leadership to build and lead high-performing Fixed Plant Shutdown Maintenance teams.
- Your exceptional stakeholder management skills are required, you will have held experience in partnership and collaboration across multi-disciplinary groups within a matrix organisation.
- Courage to challenge operating conditions and your focus on production and performance will be required to succeed in this role.
