About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Alcoa's Pinjarra Refinery. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and reliability of our civil assets, including tailings dams and associated infrastructure.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Inspecting and assessing the condition of our infrastructure assets
  • Risk assessing and prioritizing maintenance activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our assets
  • Developing scopes of work for repairs and modifications to our civil assets and surrounds
  • Reviewing existing structural reports and drawings to advise on risk and priority for repairs
  • Providing technical advice on structural integrity and defects
  • Managing an annual embankment construction capital project

What You Can Bring to the Role

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, with postgraduate opportunities considered for the right candidate
  • Postgraduate business or project management studies are seen as favourable
  • Previous relevant experience working in the mining, metals, mineral processing industry in a similar role, with a high level of technical expertise in this discipline
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team, with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the practical application of AS1170, AS4100 & AS3600
  • Working at heights ticket favourable
