Financial Leader

We seek a skilled and motivated Financial Leader to join our successful firm. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in private practice, with strong technical expertise in auditing, taxation, and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs).

Audit & Assurance
  • Plan, execute, and finalise external audits for a diverse client base.
  • Identify and resolve audit issues efficiently.
  • Ensure audits are completed in accordance with Australian Auditing Standards.
Taxation
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Provide high-quality tax planning and compliance advice.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and ensure ongoing compliance.
Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs)
  • Prepare financial statements and tax returns for SMSFs.
  • Ensure compliance with SIS regulations and ATO requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors and trustees as required.
Client Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and insights to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Identify new opportunities for client services and business development.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a private practice accounting firm.
  • Proficient in Audit, Tax, and SMSF compliance.
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting or related discipline.
  • Member of CA ANZ or CPA Australia (or working towards full membership).
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, tax legislation, and superannuation laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with accounting software.
