Job Summary

The North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced Neurophysiology Consultant to join the Speciality Medicine Collaborative.

Key responsibilities include managing out-patient and in-patient consultations, agreeing specific commitments with colleagues, working with primary care/community colleagues, and contributing to service development.

The appointed individual will be responsible for developing sub-specialties, providing clinical supervision to Clinical Neurophysiologists, and carrying out teaching duties.

Important roles include:

  • Providing the Neurophysiological Service to the trust
  • Developing the provision of the Clinical Neurophysiological Services
  • Carrying out teaching duties and participating in Postgraduate Medical Education Programme
  • Participating in Clinical Governance programme

Key qualifications include a fully registered GMC qualification, MRCP or equivalent, and entry on the Specialist Register in Clinical Neurophysiology.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, ability to take full responsibility for clinical care, and ability to work well in teams.

They should also have evidence of continuing professional development, strong team working skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
