Educational Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educational Psychologist to join our team at Assumption Catholic Primary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological assessments, funding applications, complex case management, counseling, advocacy, and support for students and families.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on early intervention and capacity building through designing and delivering professional learning for school staff. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain productive and consultative relationships.
The successful candidate will be required to administer tests and use other assessment tools to determine appropriate strategies for intervention with students, provide counseling to members of the school community, and work collaboratively with other members of the Learning Support team to deliver positive outcomes for students at risk.
The successful candidate will also be required to provide referrals to outside agencies as appropriate, assist in the preparation and delivery of appropriate programs and presentations to staff, students, and parents, and keep accurate records of interviews and write detailed reports as necessary.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, maintain a high level of integrity, and demonstrate ability in assessment and strategy development for students with disabilities and learning difficulties.
The successful candidate will also have sound organizational skills, a high standard of effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work within strict Privacy Act Guidelines.
Qualifications required include a relevant minimum four-year tertiary qualification in Psychology and eligibility for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Desirable qualifications include an appropriate teaching degree and full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
