About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Insights & Analytics Analyst to join our Commercial team at Coles Group. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with the Insights and Analytics Manager to support a diverse stakeholder group across the Commercial Business units.

Your primary focus will be on operationalising the use of data analytics, visualisation, and insights to inform commercial decisions. You'll deliver high-quality commercial insights and analytics dashboards and reporting, collaborate with our centralised IT data hub, and lead insight generation workshops with end-user groups.

You'll also be responsible for becoming a key contact for the varied business units in the design and use of the enterprise-wide data platform, identifying new data streams both internal and external.

About You and Your Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have:

  • Working experience with SQL and data visualisation tools (Microsoft Power BI preferred)
  • Highly capable in PowerPoint, Excel, and able to communicate data-driven decisions and strategy
  • Demonstrated experience working with databases, with cloud-based data platforms highly regarded (particularly Snowflake)
  • Past/current experience with Retail product data will be highly regarded
  • Proven experience in working with and influencing stakeholders within a complex matrix environment
  • Experience in conducting workshops and presenting in meetings, with the ability to articulate Data Management concepts tailored to the literacy of the stakeholder
  • Strong communication skills to articulate the impact and data insights to technical and non-technical audiences
