We are looking for a skilled Assistant Policy Officer to join our team. As an Assistant Policy Officer, you will play a key role in developing policies, guidance, and processes that align with financial management obligations under the GSF Act.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, provide accurate and evidence-based advice and policy analysis, and relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated professional experience in public policy, law, accounting, finance, governance, or a related field.

About the Role

  • Develop policies, guidance, and processes that align with financial management obligations under the GSF Act
  • Engage with stakeholders internally and across the NSW public sector to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, capability building and to ensure effective consultation
  • Support the administration of requests for variations and extensions for financial and annual reporting
  • Provide advice to agency stakeholders on specific policy areas under the GSF Act and support the team in responding to queries related to the GSF Act and related Treasury policy guidelines
