About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Civil Engineer Apprentice to join our team at Penrith City Council.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are currently studying towards a Civil Engineering degree to gain practical experience and work alongside experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To assist in the development of plans, designs, and reports related to civil engineering projects.
  • To participate in site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • To provide administrative support to the design and construction teams.
Requirements:
  • CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN A CIVIL ENGINEERING DEGREE AND SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED AT LEAST THE FIRST YEAR.
  • DEMONSTRATED WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
  • COMPUTER SKILLS – PARTICULARLY WITH MICROSOFT OFFICE PROGRAMS.
  • CURRENT CLASS C DRIVER LICENCE.
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $43,371.00 - $63,175.00 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation.

In addition to the salary, we offer a range of benefits including flexible working arrangements, access to study leave, financial educational assistance, and more.

Please note that employment as a Trainee Engineer is temporary and will cease at the completion of the qualification in which you are currently enrolled.
