**About the Role**

Laing O'Rourke, a leading construction business in Australia, is seeking an experienced Senior Rail Systems Commissioning Specialist to join our team based in Seven Hills, NSW.

We are committed to delivering high-quality projects that meet and exceed client expectations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing testing and commissioning procedures and processes that align with relevant TfNSW standards.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in railway signalling, site testing, and commissioning. They will possess a strong understanding of project management principles and be able to manage teams effectively to deliver projects on time and within budget.

A Sydney Trains and/or ARTC relevant Statement of Competency- Signalling Engineer/ Tester in Charge/ Commissioning Engineer is required. Membership or Fellowship in IRSE (Institute of Railway Signal Engineers) is also essential.

We offer a competitive salary package of around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. **Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop Laing O'Rourke testing and commissioning procedures and processes to ensure they meet all relevant current TfNSW standards.
  • Track costs and manage subcontractors.
  • Manage the overall application of these individual project strategies through to the successful handover of each project to Clients & Stakeholders.
  • Manage the competencies of Laing O'Rourke testing and commissioning resources and ensure appropriate resources are allocated.
  • Undertake compliance reviews and audits for all testing and commissioning work undertaken by Laing O'Rourke.
  • Assess and manage the training requirements of Laing O'Rourke Testing and Commissioning resources, including the sharing of lessons learned from each delivered project.
  • Assess the operational readiness of each project to ensure the project is suitable for hand over to Clients & Stakeholders and is ready to be brought into operational use.
