The Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to join the executive team of a dynamic high growth PE portfolio company.

With a proven track record of growth and expansion to all key states in Australia, the company is well-positioned for further growth in the immediate term.

As a key member of the executive management team, you will be responsible for driving the continued growth of the company through investment analysis, capital management, complex commercial negotiations, and integrating acquisitions.

The Challenge

This is an ideal role for an outstanding finance executive who wants to play a part in shaping the future direction of the business.

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee the routine of the finance function while also being directly involved in complex commercial matters and the strategic direction of the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Plan, implement, manage, and run all financial activities including business planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal financial control and risk management safeguards to support growth
  • The production of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Provide analysis of financial information and make recommendations to improve success and profitability of the business
  • Critically support the CEO in the formulation of the business's strategy
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the group's financial processes and governance including the establishment of reporting processes, finance systems, and materials for the board
  • Create, mentor, and develop a medium-sized accounting function
  • Hiring and developing new accounting staff
  • Taking a lead role in driving improvements in systems and processes throughout the company

The Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will be a top-tier finance executive with a proven background in finance and accounting.

It is likely that you have:

  • Experience as a finance executive in a Private Equity backed company, preferably in the consumer goods or retail industry
  • Exposure to high-growth scale-ups and M&A experience
  • A background in preparing a business for an exit
