Special Education Teacher Opportunity

Job Description:

As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering evidence-based teaching practices that cater to students' social, emotional, personal, and academic learning needs. Your expertise will be invaluable in implementing effective strategies for students with complex needs, including autism, intellectual disabilities, behavioral difficulties, and emotional disturbance.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Learning: Design and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of students with diverse abilities.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues to develop and implement whole-school programs that promote inclusivity and provide opportunities beyond the classroom.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships with parents and members of the wider school community through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:
  • Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with complex needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams and build inclusive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities and make informed decisions about student learning and wellbeing.
