Achieve Support Services is a specialized support provider that goes beyond just providing support staff. We recognized the value of training our support staff in specific areas, enabling them to become experts in delivering support to participants with similar needs.
About the RoleWe are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team, working closely with adults, children, and young people with autism and their families. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting our clients in all aspects of daily life, including daily routines, social activities, and learning.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day support to individuals with autism, as rostered and in accordance with their individual support plans.
- Develop and implement individual support plans, monitoring and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Assist in coordinating the day-to-day activities of other staff working on autism support programs and contribute to the development of novel autism-specific programs.
- Develop resources and training opportunities to support the autism programs.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic support to children receiving multiple services.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Cert IV or equivalent in disability qualifications or similar.
- Level 2 First Aid and CPR with Anaphylaxis training.
- Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- NDIS Orientation Module Certificate.
- Medication management training.
