The Disability Support Worker offers carer support services and is responsible for the delivery of services purchased through the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
About this Opportunity
This role will suit someone who enjoys interacting and supporting participants with daily activities. You will work on the front line of our Consumer Directed Services, delivering a wide range of services to support participants with their activities of daily living. This role requires you to work closely with the person to ensure their individual needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver services purchased through the NDIA in accordance with participant goals and objectives.
- Support participants with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation and household tasks.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, their families and other stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support to participants.
Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services or related fields (an advantage but not mandatory) or relevant experience.
- Rights to work in Australia.
- Availability and willingness to use a personal smartphone (iPhone or Android).
- A current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle.
- Satisfactory Police Records Check [less than 12 months old] and Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Workers Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
