Position Overview

The role of the Key Leader is vital to the store leadership team, influencing both salesfloor associates and customer experiences daily. Key Leaders exemplify leadership by supporting Educators, ensuring an exceptional customer journey in the store, and managing all aspects of retail operations. They utilize key performance indicators and metrics to prioritize tasks while adapting to the dynamic nature of daily business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development

  1. Encourage continuous learning and growth among team members through direct feedback, coaching, mentoring, and career development guidance, while addressing any performance issues.
  2. Recognize team members' contributions, conduct gap assessments, and maintain performance documentation to foster personal and professional advancement.
  3. Share and disseminate product knowledge and company information through effective communication channels.


Customer Experience Excellence

  1. Assist team members in delivering a superior customer experience that respects guests' time, including assessing their needs, providing product education, and facilitating in-store transactions.
  2. Engage with guests to understand their unique requirements and offer tailored solutions for purchases and returns.
  3. Deliver technical product insights by clearly articulating the advantages and benefits of our offerings.
  4. Address customer feedback and resolve concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  5. Proactively move throughout the store to meet the needs of the business, team, and customers.
  6. Inform guests about local community initiatives and organize local, regional, and area-specific community projects and events.


Collaboration and Teamwork

  1. Foster a respectful and inclusive team environment that celebrates diversity, ensuring a supportive experience for all team members and customers.
  2. Build constructive and productive relationships with all team members.
  3. Work collaboratively with team members to enhance customer experiences and support store operations.

Operational Management

  1. Lead salesfloor operations by planning coverage and making decisions to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. Analyze business data and metrics to assess progress toward objectives and determine necessary adjustments.
  3. Open and close the store following established procedures.
  4. Oversee product presentation tasks to ensure compliance with company standards.
  5. Delegate cleaning responsibilities to Educators as needed to uphold the store's premium environment.
  6. Ensure the team effectively utilizes in-store technology to enhance operations and customer experiences.
  7. Adhere to safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
  8. Conduct work in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.

People Management

  • Indirectly responsible for a subset of store employees on the sales floor or as designated by the Store Manager.

Job Requirements
Eligibility

  • Legally authorized to work in the jurisdiction of the assigned store.

Availability

  • Flexible schedule availability is required.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Willingness to move throughout the store to assist customers and complete tasks.

Experience

  • Relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience: At least one year of retail or sales leadership experience.
