Job Title: Workshop Fitter

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Fitter to join our team in a state-of-the-art workshop based in Forrestdale, Perth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, maintain and repair mining and construction equipment to customer specifications.
  • Provide quality diagnostic and general maintenance service in a professional, timely manner.

You will also be responsible for:

  • The repair and maintenance of both new and used equipment.
  • Ensuring all new machine assembly is completed as scheduled, whilst maintaining the quality of all machines that are assembled.
  • Conducting basic failure analysis and identifying specific modes of failure.
  • Preparing and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipment.
  • Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner.
  • Completing and submitting all relevant paperwork and reports.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment in line with company standards.
Requirements:
  • A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
  • Relevant Australian mobile plant trade qualifications.
  • Previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.
