Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Adult Liaison Psychiatry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in adult liaison psychiatry, excellent leadership skills, and strong stakeholder management abilities.
The successful applicant will provide leadership in a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and be accountable for clinical governance, service development, and record-keeping. They will also participate in research and professional development activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
About the Role
- This is a full-time position with a competitive salary package of up to $477k + on-call pay, depending on experience.
- The role involves working in a dynamic environment, providing clinical leadership and expertise in adult liaison psychiatry.
- The successful applicant will be required to teach undergrad and postgrad students, supervise and mentor junior doctors, and contribute to the development of mental health services in Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and expertise in adult liaison psychiatry, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- Service Development: Contribute to the development of mental health services in Western Australia, including the implementation of innovative programs and initiatives.
- Education and Training: Teach undergrad and postgrad students, supervise and mentor junior doctors, and contribute to the education and training of mental health professionals.
Selection Criteria
- FRANZCP or equivalent qualification.
- Broad experience in adult liaison psychiatry.
- Ability to provide leadership in a MDT.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to teach undergrad and postgrad students.
- Experienced in supervising and mentoring junior doctors.
