About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to join our team as an Education Officer - Service Delivery. This is a twelve-month fixed-term, full-time position commencing February 2025 with possible extension and/or permanency.

The Department of Education, Western Australia, provides services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement and educational outcomes, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data and other contextual information to support data-driven and evidence-based needs assessment processes.
  • Build relationships, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and work as part of multi-disciplinary teams to plan and deliver support to enable improved student outcomes in schools.
  • Assist in implementing, monitoring, and reviewing professional learning and support programs in relevant areas of specialist expertise.

Eligibility
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
  • Hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia.
  • Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
