The Role: As a Multiskilled Domestic Cleaner/Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all areas of the site are kept hygienic and presentable, contributing to a comfortable and respectful atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cooking Services: Prepare and present breakfast, serve lunch and dinner, and provide kitchen hand services including food preparation, texture modification, and accurate apportioning.
  • Cleaning Services: Maintain high standards of cleanliness in cooking areas and equipment, perform cleaning services including vacuuming, emptying rubbish, dusting, wiping surfaces, and maintaining resident rooms, windows, toilets, bathrooms, and communal areas.
  • Laundry Services: Handle residents' laundry, ensuring proper washing and return of clothing, and manage bed linen, ensuring it is laundered and labeled correctly.
Requirements:
  • Cleaning Knowledge: Possess knowledge of cleaning chemicals and procedures.
  • Infection Control: Have an understanding of infection control principles.
  • Experience: Possess experience in domestic cleaning in an aged care setting.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.
