Job Description

This role involves planning, developing, and delivering units of competency related to courses, specifically focusing on the Certificate IV in Child Youth and Family Intervention. Your responsibilities will include organizing and delivering theory, practical, and simulation classes in relevant subject areas, such as WH&S, Trauma-Informed Care, and Working with Youth at Risk.

You will work closely with Lead Teachers, Program Leaders, and Managers to set and achieve teaching objectives, undertaking administrative tasks and coordinating learning services activities directly related to assigned programs.

Your duties will also encompass:

  • Developing, maintaining, and evaluating student learning programs, projects, and associated materials
  • Establishing and maintaining a learning environment that empowers students to take personal responsibility
  • Conducting pre-training assessment reviews and assessment requirements connected to contract delivery for programs

In addition, you will participate in marketing and promoting social services courses, liaising with industry contacts, networks, and learning communities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience working within the relevant industry supporting children or young people in the Residential and Out of Home Care Sector
  • A Degree, Diploma, or Certificate relevant in both content and academic level and industry experience relevant to the Certificate IV in Child Youth and Family Intervention
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent, including Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502) and Address Adult Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills (TAELLLN4111)
  • A thorough knowledge of current industry practices and procedures, with a demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain liaisons within supporting children or young people in the Residential and Out of Home Care Sector
Salary and Benefits

This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $82-$88.59 per hour, pending MEA 2018 eligibility requirements, plus Superannuation benefits.
