About the Role
We are seeking experienced nurses who are passionate about patient care to join our professional Emergency team. You will work on the iconic Northern Beaches of Sydney at NBH, offering state-of-the-art equipment and world-class facilities.
Our Emergency Department (ED) provides 24/7 care to residents and visitors of the Northern Beaches community. The unit comprises of 50 beds and treatment spaces, divided into zones including Paediatrics, Short stay, Adult acute assessment, Resuscitation, and Mental health assessment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Plan, assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with patients/families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and health outcomes.
- Coordinate and provide hands-on nursing care; supervision, education, direction, and support for Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Assistants in Nursing (AIN).
- Provide support and guidance to nursing peers and patients for the management of their healthcare, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.
- Maintain a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration with AHPRA.
- Post-graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing (or working towards).
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care.
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well independently and within a team.
- Basic computer skills.
