Network Security Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team in a full-time role. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience working within complex enterprise networks, with high-level analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, configure, and maintain network and security infrastructure (Firewalls, DLP, email filters, proxies, F5 etc).
- Monitor performance and ensure network availability and reliability.
- Document network and security policies, procedures, design and configurations.
- Keep up to date on current threat landscape.
- Analyse and assess requirements and scope for continual operational improvement in security space.
- Ability to innovate and understand new technologies.
- Perform on call duties on a rostered basis.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of LAN/WAN networking (Cisco Catalyst, Nexus) and DNS technologies, as well as the Cisco security suite (ISE, Stealthwatch, Meraki, etc). Additionally, they will have high level knowledge of Checkpoint (VSX / Maestro), Forcepoint and F5 (BigIP / F5 XC) technologies, and Cisco ThousandEyes / PRTG.
A strong understanding of security principles and technical understanding of IT security related technologies (e.g. Antivirus, firewalls, endpoint/server protection, email security, data encryption, PKI, HSM, DLP/IDS, etc.) is essential. The ability to write procedural, process and reporting documentation is also required, as well as exceptional time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise job queues.
The ideal candidate will have appropriate tertiary qualifications at Degree level or higher in Information Technology, Engineering or Computer Science, and relevant and current accreditations (Checkpoint, F5 etc) or equivalent experience in operational security.
