About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marketing and Communications Officer to join our team at the Department of Education, Western Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our school and its programs to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to promote our school and its programs
  • Assist with the development and production of marketing materials, including print and online materials
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the school community, administration team, and external suppliers
  • Coordinate communication activities and events, including the school ball, ANZAC ceremonies, transition and orientation events, and presentation evenings
  • Provide support to the school executive team to develop and implement communication strategies
Requirements
  • Demonstrated considerable experience in assisting with coordination of events and marketing activities and associated financial management and budgeting requirements
  • Demonstrated sound initiative and organisational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
  • Demonstrated sound communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
  • Demonstrated sound conceptual, analytical and research skills, including the ability to identify appropriate solutions
  • Demonstrated sound computer application skills
