Enterprise Data Architect

This position involves designing and enhancing data models and data marts within the enterprise data warehouse (EDW) environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Teradata, experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and solid understanding of extract, transform, load (ETL) tools.
- Develop ETL/ELT jobs in Teradata using BTEQ, SQL, and utilities such as FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance of Teradata queries and load processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards.
- Strong expertise in Teradata (Vantage preferred) - SQL, BTEQ, Utilities.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling.
- Solid understanding of ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, or similar).
- Proficient in performance tuning and workload management on Teradata.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M) and version control (Git).
This is a contract position available for an initial 6-month term with likely extension on a long-term project. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement in Sydney.
