Provide mentorship to engineers, identifying opportunities for professional development. Oversee the well-being and performance of the engineering team with empathy and authenticity, fostering trust and motivating them to tackle challenges. Encourage diverse perspectives in problem-solving, promoting contributions from engineers and others, ensuring decisions are based on thorough analysis and free from biases. Offer technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle, including design, implementation, and feature delivery, while continuously enhancing software engineering quality and efficiency. Actively engage with the codebase by participating in code reviews and other non-critical tasks.Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software engineer. At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role as an Engineering Manager. Proven experience in software development, including launching one or more products across extensive codebases that utilize various platforms and tools. Experience in cross-departmental collaboration to develop solutions.Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with one or more technology stacks, such as Game/C++. Experience in mobile and/or multi-platform development. Background in collaborating with other disciplines, including Tech Artists, Artists, and Game Designers. Experience with AWS Device Farm.Success in this role will stem from a combination of technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and decision-making that prioritizes player satisfaction. We will assess your previous experiences, education, and personal connection to gaming. If you demonstrate empathy for players and a commitment to enhancing their experiences, this role may be a perfect fit.
