Energy Systems Software Engineer

This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of software solutions for managing energy systems. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer with expertise in Python programming, dynamic power system studies, and quantitative analysis.

  • Develop software applications to improve the management of low demand / high DER periods
  • Contribute to the development of control room visualisation interfaces using Python
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify priority areas for further uplift of systems required to operate the power system of the future
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong Python programming skills, preferably using test-driven development & object-oriented programming
  • Quantitative analysis skills, including problem solving, modelling, and critical thinking
  • Experience running dynamic power system studies in PSSE, PSCAD, PowerFactory, or similar platforms is desirable
