About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead our therapy services team in a brand new 100-bed aged care facility. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to establish and oversee systems to evaluate and monitor the quality of therapy services, identify gaps in programs and services, and implement improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized care plans and programs that address residents' needs and goals
  • Provide therapy and lifestyle services in line with legislation, funding, and organizational policies
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Therapy Assistants
  • Collaborate with the General Manager Residential Care to develop and implement therapy services strategies
Requirements
  • Experience as an Occupational Therapist in aged care with current AHPRA registration
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage residents, families, and staff
  • Excellent clinical skills, with the ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized care plans
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop solutions-oriented approaches
