Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Apparel Merchandise Planner to join our team. As a key member of our merchandise planning team, you'll play a critical role in driving our strategy and contributing to the growth of our apparel functions. You'll be responsible for maximizing sales and profit through effective management of department range architecture and product assortment, ensuring the commercial plan is executed to deliver the department strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement merchandise plans to achieve sales, profit, and inventory targets
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop strategies and processes to drive sales and profitability
  • Manage and trade a department in a planner role, ensuring key deliverable KPIs are managed within agreed parameters
  • Manage supplier range plans to ensure alignment to the Target strategy
  • Build and execute sales, gross margin, and inventory plans at a weekly/monthly/season level
Requirements
  • 5+ years of planning experience in a large-scale big box retail environment
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Operations, or Business (advantageous)
  • Strong commercial acumen and numerical skills, with high levels of attention to detail
  • Ability to observe, interpret, and act upon trends in customer behavior
  • Highly inquisitive, self-driven, with strong organization skills in a fast-paced retail environment
