We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Perth Electrical team, specializing in infrastructure projects, particularly in renewable energy, transport, port, and defense sectors. As a key member of our team, you will drive impactful design and implementation initiatives across Australia, including a pivotal role in an innovative renewable hydrogen project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering projects, from concept to detailed design, construction support, and commissioning, focusing on the electrical discipline.
  • Provide electrical engineering support in owner's engineer roles on large-scale renewable projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and project requirements.
  • Develop and review electrical designs for LV and MV power systems, including single lines, schematics, layouts, GA, cable/equipment schedules, and other relevant documents.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal and external project teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery and compliance with project specifications.
  • Contribute to tender processes, preparing bid documents, identifying deliverables, and developing engineering hour estimates.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting best practices, industry knowledge, and innovative approaches to foster professional growth within the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • Significant professional experience in consultancy, utility, mining, or resources environments, with a focus on electrical engineering.
  • Ability to perform power system analysis using ETAP or PTW electrical software and design knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Defense security clearance is highly regarded, but not mandatory.
  • Applicants must currently reside in Australia and hold Australian permanent residency or citizenship.
