Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cane Milling Technician to join our team at Invicta Mill in Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the mill's crushing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and quality of raw sugar production. This is a permanent position requiring continuous shift work, weekend work, and some overtime during the crushing season (June-December).

Main Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
  • Operating and maintaining the crushing equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality of raw sugar production.
  • Monitoring syrup/magma stocks and informing pan stage operators when levels are abnormal.
  • Regularly inspecting plant, equipment, and completing maintenance requests.
  • Maintaining accurate records of production data and submitting regular reports to management.
  • Collaborating with Pan Boilers, Shift Leaders, and other teams as necessary.
  • Providing on-the-job training and assessing employees undertaking structured training programs.

Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • A strong understanding of cane milling processes and equipment operation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A self-motivated individual with highly developed organizational skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and guide others in their roles.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and meet defined targets.
  • Prior experience in the sugar industry or related field is advantageous but not essential.
