Azure Arc is connecting the world's computing power to Azure. We extend Azure's cloud capabilities to on-premises, multi-cloud, and edge environments, simplifying server and Kubernetes management.
By projecting servers and Kubernetes clusters into Azure Resource Manager, customers can easily manage configurations and applications, enable monitoring and security, and deploy 1st and 3rd party applications.
About the Role- We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, code, validate, ship, and run high-scale services.
- You will collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to all aspects of the stack, from agents running on servers and Kubernetes clusters to globally distributed cloud services.
You will have end-to-end ownership of your areas, including design, code, testing, and telemetry coverage. As a senior engineer on the team, you will mentor early-career engineers.
Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership, raise the technical bar, maintain data and results-driven culture, and nurture a team culture of collaboration and trust.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements, develop design documents, drive project and release plans.
- Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to establish and improve performance, maintainability, and reliability of services and components.
- Participate in site operations with emphasis on timely response, delivery, and customer satisfaction. Build automation to identify, prevent, and remediate service issues.
- Support key projects, including designing and building license management software, from design and implementation through to integration and testing.
- Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to latest trends, technical solutions, and patterns to improve availability, reliability, scalability, observability, and performance of the product.
- Share knowledge with colleagues via code, design reviews, and provide mentoring.
