We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Developer to join our team at Nasdaq. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for implementing the Calypso system and assisting our customers in meeting their technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with customers to test and implement the Calypso system, ensuring successful go-live and ongoing system maintenance.
- Provide technical guidance and support to developers, including API documentation and training on system configuration and setup.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical guides and user manuals.
- Work closely with Calypso business analysts and core development teams to design and implement system enhancements.
- Manage technical project timelines and track progress, ensuring timely delivery of technical deliverables.
- Assist customers in developing their internal project plans, including scope, timeline, and resource requirements.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial software development, preferably in the capital markets industry.
- Strong technical skills in Java, C++, Swing, JDBC, RMI, J2EE, Linux, Sybase, and XML.
- Excellent object-oriented analysis, design, and development skills.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including experience with Sybase and/or Oracle.
- Domain experience in developing software or implementing software in support of asset classes such as credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, equity derivatives, fixed income, or FX.
- Experience designing and building front-to-back capital markets trading systems is highly valued.
- Strong business skills, with the ability to interact comfortably with end-users on business operations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and train customers effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel, as required.
