We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Officer to join our team at the Department of Health Tasmania. As a Career Medical Officer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical care to patients in our psychiatric services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and coordination.
- Act as a medical resource and provide guidance to other team members.
- Promote and maintain close links with community service providers to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Participate in medical student teaching and in-service training of staff.
- General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Current Driver's Licence.
This is a permanent full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight. The successful applicant will be required to meet the essential criteria and undergo a pre-employment check.
