About the Role:

Talison Lithium is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Perth. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide legal expertise and support to the Company in relation to construction, procurement, engineering consultancy and commercial property transactions.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction and major projects law, with experience in infrastructure, resources or energy projects. You will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice, contract drafting and negotiation to support the Company's projects.

This is a full-time position based in our Perth office, with a 5:2 roster. The purpose of this role is to provide assistance for a period of parental leave.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing advice to Talison Lithium on a broad range of matters including legal responsibilities, disputes and regulatory compliance;
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of contracts including services agreements, equipment and material procurement, development agreements, design and construct, construct only, engineering and consultancy services agreements;
  • Providing strategic advice on different contract and delivery models;
  • Preparation/review of formal documentation to protect Talison Lithium's legal standing;
  • Developing and modifying policies and procedures as required based on legislative changes or business requirements;
  • Identifying, briefing and engaging specialist legal advice (where required); and
  • Proactively monitoring and advising on changes in law that are likely to impact Talison Lithium.
