We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Sydney team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and drafting electrical drawings, including overhead and underground works.

Your primary focus will be on preparing packages to obtain certification, meeting all requirements and objectives for Stantec, clients, and authorities. You will ensure that designs are compliant with Utility Network Standards and Authorities, councils, Australian standards, and other relevant standards, policies, and practices.

You will work closely with stakeholders, including energy authorities, and liaise with other disciplines within Stantec. Conducting site inspections and data collection/testing is also an essential part of this role.

To be successful in this position, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in consulting or a related industry. ASP3 Accreditation is also required, as well as the ability to prepare Level 3 ASP, Private, and Lighting electrical designs.

You should have knowledge of NSW utilities, Authorities, Australian Standards, and be proficient in using AutoCAD, MS Office, Excel, Word, and Project. Familiarity with Powerlines Pro, Poles N Wires, PLSCADD, AGI32 (CDEGS, Argon, PowerCAD) is desirable but not essential.
